In the 1920 census the family can be found at 154 Pitman Street in Providence, Rhode Island where Curtis’ occupation is a salesman for an “Investment Bank”. Then in May 1923 Curtis and his family are found in Garfield County Montana where he filed for 320 acres under the Homestead Act of May 20, 1862. When the 1930 census was taken, Curtis and the family can be found at 7312 Bennett Avenue in Chicago, Illinois where his occupation was “manager of surgical supports”. He and Florence are at this same address when he registered for the WWII draft. On his draft card he said he worked for himself. In January 1950 Curtis Chartier is found working for Benite, Inc. at 1314 W. Gensan St. Jackson, Michigan; information found on his social security application form.
