  	The Mervin and Estella (Hardy) Hungerford family adopted Lester Chartier and probably Henrietta because both Lester and Henrietta can be found living in the home of Mervyn Hungerford in Anderson, Kansas when the 1940 census was taken. Lester was living in Highlands Ranch, Colorado at the time of his brother, Leonard’s death. The descendants of Lester Hungerford and Lois Weeks came from the “Weeks Family” website. Lester’s obituary said he was a former resident of Dodge City where he worked for Fairmont Foods for 25 years and then M&S Wholesale. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.
